Perhaps the most surprising of all non-call-ups is the former NXT Women's Champion, Bayley.

Bayley seemed to check all the boxes that WWE likes to have before moving a talent to the main roster. She's one of the longest tenured superstars in NXT, had won and lost the NXT Women's title, and was the clear premier performer of all the ladies down in Orlando.

In spite of her preparedness, Bayley was not included as part of the 2016 WWE Draft. While many expect Bayley to make the jump sooner rather than later, she's likely headed for a major rematch against Asuka before she sees full-time action in WWE.

With Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella all getting drafted to RAW and SmackDown, Bayley was conspicuous by her absence. It's not that the Hugger isn't ready for prime time, it's just that her NXT journey and story is not yet complete.

She still needs a chance to avenge her loss to Asuka and NXT would be foolish to leave that money match on the table.
