Despite all the teases WWE had done in the weeks leading up to the draft, the majority of tag teams and groups remained in tact following the 2016 WWE Draft. The Wyatt Family was not one of those groups.

Bray Wyatt was drafted in the third round to SmackDown while Braun Strowman was selected by RAW in the tenth round. Following Bray to SmackDown will be Erick Rowan as he was drafted in the 11th and final round. The final member of the group was left off the draft board altogether and that was former Intercontinental Champion, Luke Harper.

Harper is currently out recovering from an injury to his patella and MPFL ligament that was sustained just prior to WrestleMania 32. Harper underwent successful knee surgery in March and has been out of action since that time.

While Harper has mentioned a potential August return, the reality may be that he's held off until after SummerSlam. This would give reason as to why Harper was not drafted on July 19th, but he'll likely have a ready-made angle, involving which brand he will join, when he returns later this year.
