10 WWE Superstars Who Weren't Drafted (And Why)

3. The Rock

Remember when The Rock had a "match" against Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32? Although it was a joke of a contest, Rocky technically wrestled at the largest show in WWE history which would make him a more recent competitor than other draftees like Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and Neville.

Fans know not to expect to see The Rock when they turn on RAW or SmackDown, but WWE continues to list The Rock on their roster page of WWE.com. He's a major name that, had he been drafted, would've made for a complete shock, but that was not the case.

Regardless of whether or not WWE is penciling The Rock in for any in-ring action come WrestleMania 33 in Orlando or beyond, he will be doing so as a free agent unless something changes before then.

It could very well be a moot point as The Rock may have wrestled his last legitimate match (and not the farce with Erick Rowan). With Hollywood producers and agents not wishing for Dwayne Johnson to risk future projects and shooting schedules, Rock may be done for good inside the squared circle.
