Mind you, so does Raw's resident music man. Hello, he is Elias, and he's fated to hold gold now he's playing babyface.

Elias is up there as a prime candidate to eventually dethrone Dean Ambrose as Intercontinental Champion and march on into feuds against others. He's more likely a choice than Apollo Crews or Andrade Almas, if only because audiences already treat the former 'Drifter' as a likeably cocky star who could credibly beat the big boys.

There's an argument to be made that Elias doesn't need a title. He's just one of those characters that leans on his gimmick (a guitar, some singing and audience participation) over anything else. Whilst that is true, this is WWE, a company that can't resist putting championships on wrestlers who are over.

That's not a slight, it's understandable. Elias has some swagger, he's entrenched as an important act on Raw and he's in the best physical shape he's been since debuting on the main roster almost two years ago.
