10 WWE Superstars Who Would Benefit From A Feud With Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is on the best run of his WWE career. Who should the 'Tribal Chief' face next?
'Tribal Chief,' reigning Universal Champion, best teeth in the game: all phrases that can be used to describe the new heel persona of Roman Reigns, that had been clawing beneath the surface of his "Sufferin' Succotash" nonsense for the past five years.
Now, more than ever, Roman feels like he belongs at the top of the mountain: he deserves his place on the throne, rather than simply being the member of The Shield with the nicest pecs.
Instead of John Cena 2.0, Reigns has become his own man in WWE. Having built up a catalogue of great matches and now shining with the microphone in hand, Roman's Survivor Series war with fellow world champion Drew McIntyre felt like a WrestleMania main event - the biggest fight feel between any two new-ish Superstars since Orton and Batista.
In Reigns' current role he is the Brock Lesnar-like final boss... who actually appears on TV every week. The withering putdowns are backed up by merciless beatdowns, and this has the making of the next great babyface written all over it - whoever can topple the champ. So many SmackDown wrestlers could go through a career revitalisation by sharing the ring with Reigns: just look at Jey Uso's ascension as of late...
10. Andrade
He's not been seen on Raw since 12 October - the final day of the WWE Draft. Who's going to care if he pops up on SmackDown instead upon his return to the ring? It would be a fine way to bring back Andrade, as a fearless hero who gains the respect of the fans by standing up to the dictator. Also, because he's just that damn good.
Returns are a perfect time to turn the best wrestlers face, as the fans will just be glad to see them back in action. Andrade should turn up as a surprise entrant to a multi-man number one contender match, winning the contest and heading straight for the top.
It does mean another faceoff between two fabulously handsome, bearded men, and I'm thoroughly okay with that. The match would be epic: Andrade would get over as a good guy just by WWE letting him go out there and work. Remember when WWE fans turned on Seth Rollins because he was tweeting like a tone-deaf adolescent? They stuck him in an hour-long gauntlet, and we ate it up.
