10 WWE Superstars Who Would Benefit From A Feud With Roman Reigns

3. Chad Gable

A month ago this match would have been unfathomable. Now that Chad Gable is no longer Shorty G, the odds have reduced to just about barely possible. While Gable is the least likely opponent for The Tribal Chief here outside of Bo Dallas, the angle would be an elevated version of the Drew Gulak/Daniel Bryan storyline: a nice little surprise that offered some awesome wrestling.

There's no question that Gable has the wrestling chops to run rings around Roman before the champ catches the smaller man, and beats all manner of hell out of him. The pace and story of the match are there - a Brock Lesnar vs. Bryan/Styles/Balor type affair.

They would have a short feud, potentially Gable beats Jimmy and Jey Uso on his way to demand respect from Reigns or retaliates against The Bloodline when they go after Otis for his role in SmackDown's Survivor Series humiliation. A nice push for Gable that can launchpad him up to a mid-card title run, and a big, powerful win for Roman after almost being humbled, showing the first chink in his armour.
