10 WWE Superstars Who Would Flourish In Lucha Underground

1. Dolph Ziggler

It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Dolph Ziggler should have left WWE years ago. Once he wasn't elevated to the main event level following his huge victory in the main event of Survivor Series 2014, fans (as well as Ziggler himself) should have known he was never going to be the guy many wanted and hoped he would be in the eyes of the organization.

Despite that, he has spent the last several years treading water and basically putting over the talent of tomorrow including Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode. Even now, he finds himself in a tag team with Drew McIntyre because the latter is being groomed for an eventual singles push.

Before long, Ziggler should take a page out of Cody's book and leave WWE on his own accord. Although he'd be a fine fit in either Ring of Honor or New Japan Pro Wrestling (Bullet Club, anyone?), Lucha Underground would be his best bet. There, he wouldn't be overshadowed by many other people and could be the face of the promotion the same way Johnny Mundo is now.

Like Ziggler, John Morrison was just another dude on the roster in WWE coasting on his past successes, but he has created an entirely new character for himself in Lucha Underground. The Temple is where Ziggler belongs.
