10 WWE Superstars You Didn't Know Wrestled In New Japan

6. Neville

Before joining WWE, the U.K. born Neville (then competing as Pac) was already a global star. He debuted in his home country, but soon began working for promotions all across Europe. From there, it wasn't long before he arrived in the U.S., becoming a PWG regular and appearing for Ring of Honor and Chikara. Finally, Japanese promotion Dragon Gate took notice - in 2007, Neville joined the group (taking Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne's spot in the Typhoon stable) and became a mainstay for the next five years, picking up various honors. While nearing the end of his Dragon Gate tenure (he would sign with WWE less than two months later), Neville was invited by New Japan to take part in 2012's Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Neville finished first in his block, winning five matches (and scoring victories over the likes of Jushin Liger and Prince Devitt), but he was eliminated in the semifinals by eventual winner Ryusuke Taguchi. Still, despite not winning the thing his performances certainly opened some eyes.
