The late 90s are often seen as something of hot-potato period as far as the WWE title was concerned. And never was that case more apparent than at the Survivor Series PPV. A new WWE Champion was crowned at six successive events between 1994 and 1999, with that run ending when Kurt Angle successfully retained against the Undertaker in 2000. As well as that sextet of changes, the title also changed hands at the 1991 eventthis time with the Undertaker coming out on toptaking the total tally of title changes to a whopping 7 for the decade. Since then though, Survivor Series has become something of a fortress for defending champions, with the title changing hands just thrice in 16 years. Of course, this year were guaranteed to see a new champion crowned, and it could be any one of four men who each have a perfectly equal chance of winning. Right?
