10 WWE Survivor Series Facts You Didn't Know

5. The Home Of Survivor Series

Madison Square Garden is often cited as the home of WWE. Not only has WrestleMania been hosted by the arena on four separate occasions, but the headquarters of the very company that would later become WWE was once housed just a few blocks away. But while MSG may be seen as the birthplace of the Showcase of the Immortals, Survivor Series has a slightly different set of roots to call its own. Ohio has hosted the November PPV four times over the years€”more than any other of the 50 states. Furthermore, three of those four events were in fact staged at the very same arena; the Coliseum at Richfield. While it doesn€™t quite have the same ring to it as Madison Square Garden, that€™s likely due to the fact that Richfield Township has a population of just a few thousand. Unfortunately though, the stadium was actually demolished in 1999, meaning we€™ll never be able to see Survivor Series return to its spiritual home. Wikipedia reliably informs me that the site is now a grassy meadow and has become an important area for wildlife. I€™m sure there€™s a profound remark about the true survivors in there somewhere€
