10 WWE Tag Teams That Never Feuded

9. Demolition

The WWE’s attempt to create their own all-conquering tag team was half Road Warriors, half KISS, and pretty damn successful. Ax, Smash, and, later, Crush, dominated WWE’s tag division for the best part of half a decade before Vince finally signed the actual Road Warriors and ruined it all for the big lads in leather.

Demolition was a blatant attempt to capture the energy of one of the all-time great teams, but the stars beneath the S&M gear could pull it off. It helped that they had a great tag division to work with, and they put on competitive matches with the Bulldogs and the Hart family while enjoying lengthy runs with the straps to establish themselves.

When not occupied by these stellar teams, they could be mostly found crushing jobbers. They never quite had the legitimacy of the frankly terrifying Hawk and Animal, but McMahon’s boys were more than just a knock off, breaking records for their title run duration.

Once the Road Warriors (rebranded Legion of Doom) rode into town, the writing was on the wall for Demolition, but while they’d go their separate ways in WWE, they never turned on one another, and the team (sans the late Brian “Crush” Adams) continued to ply their trade on the indies in the decades since their impressive WWE heyday.
