10 WWE Tag Teams That Never Feuded

8. Too Cool

A group so popular they weren’t split up even in the lawless days of the Attitude Era, it can be shocking when watching old footage to hear just how big of a pop Too Cool were getting on a weekly basis. This was, on the surface, a pretty lame and even retrograde gimmick, but pulled off with such verve that it was impossible not to get involved.

Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay were two smart performers who knew precisely their place on the card, and exactly what they needed to do to get the fans behind them. From their earworm music to the stupid but delightful Worm finisher through to the yellow shades and post-match dance break, this was a crew with family appeal but just enough edge to keep the jaded Gen-Xers onside.

They reached their apex when Rikishi came on board, though the big Samoan would go through his own angsty phase in the early ‘00s, what with running Steve Austin over and everything. He’d turn his back on the group, but the core team of Scotty and Sexay would remain tight as ever, working the indie scene and popping up for the odd nostalgia pop for years to come.
