10 WWE Tag Teams That Never Feuded
5. Booker T and Goldust
Sometimes there’s neither rhyme nor reason behind a WWE tag team. Booker T and Goldust both found themselves without too much to do in 2002: Booker had been shunted from the new NWO, and Goldust was Goldust. The once and future Dustin Rhodes felt that the two would make a good duo. Booker, understandably, felt otherwise.
Goldust is, apparently, nothing if not persistent, however, and he eventually wore down Booker. The pair were a perfect odd couple, and the rest basically writes itself. Goldust says or does something weird, Booker T reacts negatively, rinse and repeat.
As a pair of industry vets, they also put on plenty of solid tag matches along the way, even capturing the titles once. They split amicably a year later as Booker geared up to face Triple H at WrestleMania XIX, the less said about which the better.
There was never really much to be had from splitting up this team - it was a bit of light relief on the show and something for the two guys to do in the absence of anything more important; they just happened to make a lot more out of it than anyone could have expected.
