10 WWE Tag Teams Who Tried To Rebrand Themselves

7. Billy Gunn & Road Dogg

As the New Age Outlaws, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg were one of the great emblems of Vince McMahon's Attitude Era.

Years later, they were cast in the role of the Vodoo Kin Mafia (as in: VKM - get it?), tasked with infiltrating WWE's Connecticut headquarters to help their new employers steal a march on the competition.

In essence, they went from playing a pair of D-Generation X extras to playing a pair of D-Generation X wannabes, right down to declaring war on the company they were trailing in the ratings battle/genocide.

And while it had its funny moments, the angle wasn't exactly well-received, seen in the end as another example of TNA giving established stars air time that could and should have gone to hungry, homegrown talent.
