10 WWE Tag Teams Who Tried To Rebrand Themselves

6. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

The rebrand underwent by Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase was fairly subtle, in that they went from a pair of second-generation stars without direction to one with direction (namely, that of the voices inside Randy Orton's head). Relatively speaking, it was a qualified success.

Cody was Hardcore Holly's create-a-wrestler sidekick in the months before he joined up with DiBiase, and even once they became a double act it was only after Orton's intervention - and their becoming known as "Legacy" - that they started to climb up the card.

Yet neither were really seen to have reached their singles potential, having been forever burdened by those unfair comparisons to the Viper, who - let's be honest - was always at least a few rungs above any of his fellow wrestling-in-their-blood understudies.
