10 WWE Things That Only Made Sense With Hindsight

4. CM Punk Winning MITB Again

There isn't a rule against a wrestler winning the Money in the Bank ladder match twice, but there probably should be.

The whole concept is practically designed to give fledgling talent a way to shoe-horn themselves into the main event, and its first four editions at least attempted to accomplish exactly that, with Edge, Rob Van Dam, Mr. Kennedy (sort of), and CM Punk finally getting their big breaks.

But for number five, CM Punk won again, which seemed odd for a little while - until he brilliantly cashed it in on fan-favourite Jeff Hardy, cementing the heel turn he had desperately needed for close to a year after his inaugural title reign ended in such a nondescript manner. This was great booking, albeit 12 months too late.
