10 WWE Things That Only Made Sense With Hindsight
5. The Shield Break-Up
The Shield's implosion was great news for fans of gifs, but bad for those - i.e. most of us - who felt that the respective career prospects of Roman, Seth, and Dean were better served together than apart.
In the immediate aftermath, those fears seemed well-founded, with Seth becoming somehow less relevant after swapping a place in the hottest wrestling stable in a generation for one in Triple H's back-pocket.
But with hindsight, there's no getting away from the fact that it did him the world of good, helping him become a star in his own right and ultimately headline the following year's WrestleMania (albeit as a last minute addition to the match).
It also probably helped the two men he betrayed, as they too quickly established themselves as viable singles competitors not long after. A good move all round - regardless of how much we might miss them as a trio.
