10 WWE Title Reigns That P*ssed Off The Fans
8. Vince McMahon Confirms ECW's Death
It's not outrageous to say that pretty much everything about WWECW was bad. However, the hardcore brand's relaunch reached a hilarious low in 2007 when Vince McMahon himself would win the ECW Championship from Bobby Lashley in a three-on-one match.
Fresh off being on the wrong side of a WrestleMania Hair vs Hair match against Donald Trump, it seems that Vince - donning a do-rag to cover his bald head - had to reaffirm his stature somehow. What better way than to do so at the expense of the already disgraced ECW brand?
Aided by son Shane McMahon and crony Umaga, the Chairman held onto the ECW Championship for a month and a half before eventually losing it back to Lashley at One Night Stand.
As hilarious as it was to see 60-year-old Vince McMahon's poor depiction of an ECW-esque street thug, his reign was a reminder that WWE truly doesn't give a damn about the legacy of past promotions, even ones it still profits from.
