10 WWE Videos You Didn’t Realise Were Huge Hits On YouTube
The good, the bad and the just downright weird, some of WWE's YouTube hits will surprise you.
It is a well known fact that WWE can't seem to stop producing content. Creating hours upon hours of wrestling action for fans to enjoy must not be an easy task, and even the most loyal fans struggle to get through it. That is why the company's YouTube account has skyrocketed in popularity in the last few years, as WWE posts the highlights from every show only hours after it goes to air on TV. This leads many fans to just skim through these short videos in order to keep up with the action.
So you would think with such great access to all these clips, the most viewed would be historic moments such as The Rock vs. Stone Cold and the many shock returns that have happened over the years. Well if you did think that, you'd be wrong. To qualify for this list, all 10 entries were picked from the Top 100 most viewed videos on the channel with most of them coming from the Top 50.
I will admit, many of the most viewed videos were matches and quite good ones at that. But as you scroll through you notice many odd inclusions poking out that just don't look like they belong. Some of them make less sense than others. But hey, the people like what the people like.
10. John Cena Vs. Mark Henry - Arm Wrestling Match
We start off with this ninety six second gem from 2008.
In October 2007, John Cena suffered a torn pectoral muscle, an injury that should have seen him sit out or upward of eight months. But no, Super Cena was back in just under four months to win the 2008 edition of the Royal Rumble, a medical feat that still puzzles both fans and doctors alike to this day. To test the strength of his surgically repaired shoulder, he was challenged to an Arm Wrestling Match by the legitimate World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry.
"Don't mean mug me, boy!" Henry bellowed as Cena tried his best to look fierce in the face of what should have been an impossible challenge. However, John Cena isn't John Cena without a big underdog comeback and that is exactly what he did. Watching it back you can't help but almost p*ss yourself laughing at Cena's facial expressions. Clenching and screaming, eyes bulging as he willed Henry's gigantic arm back and unsurprisingly, the fans ate it up. The crowd going wild as Cena somehow was about to out power the strongest man in all the land, until Randy Orton, the d*ickhead that he is, had to spoil the fun.
But like classic Super Cena, he was able to run Orton off and then prove his incredible strength once more with a very impressive Attitude Adjustment to Henry, before beating his chest in approval to the crowd. Honestly, this is more entertaining than half the stuff we see on WWE programming these days. Maybe that's why this video is WWE's 12th most viewed ever on YouTube with a staggering eighty nine million views!
