10 WWE Weddings That Turned Into Chaos
6. Stephanie McMahon And The Undertaker - 1999
During a period where the 'The Phenom' was undergoing the darkest transformation of his career, The Undertaker's evil Ministry of Darkness were hell-bent on taking over the WWF. And what better way to bring the company to its knees than by abducting the boss' daughter?
That's exactly what happened in April 1999, culminating in The Undertaker's attempted unholy union to Stephanie McMahon live on Raw. With Steph strapped to 'Taker's symbol - which was in no way meant to resemble a crucifix (wink wink) - 'The Phenom stood over his reluctant bride to be, as the vile Paul Bearer recited the devilish vows.
Even Corporation hardmen Ken Shamrock and Big Show couldn't stop the sickening ceremony; both were wiped out by the multiple Ministry members. Chants of "Austin" filled the arena as the injustice continued. Not a minute too soon, 'The Rattlesnake' made his welcome entrance, waylaying everything that moved with chair shots as stiff as the steel it was made from.
With 'The Deadman' and his army thwarted, Stephanie was safe. The show went off the air with Vince McMahon thanking his nemesis for saving his daughter, adding another layer of intrigue to always-awesome Austin/McMahon saga.
