10 WWE World Champions Who Will Never Get In The Hall Of Fame
9. Alberto Del Rio
Major WWE Titles: 2-Time WWE Champion (2011 x2), 2-Time World Champion (2013 x2) There are two reasons why Del Rio won't go into WWE's Hall of Fame any time soon: 1) He wrestles elsewhere and 2) He was fired for striking an employee. His WWE run lasted about four years, which isn't that long, but he was presented as a main event level star from his debut. He was one of the best heels in WWE in the last five years, while also having consistently good matches. They were rarely match of the year contenders, but he was consistently good and reliable while he was there. Del Rio's not in WWE anymore because of an incident last year where he slapped an employee in the head after he was made aware of some apparently racist comments that were directed towards him. At first he wasn't going to be fired, but WWE made the decision to let him go. He seemed happy with leaving because he wasn't satisfied with his push. Now he's working for Lucha Underground as well as AAA in Mexico and indy shows all over the world. He's doing very well for himself financially and doesn't need the WWE contract. Since his career wasn't that long in WWE, maybe he will never get in. It's possible that a situation could happen where they mend fences, but it could be a while for him since he's still in his late 30s and has several years left.
