10 WWE WrestleMania Matches That Were Just Too Long

1. Jerry Lawler Vs. Michael Cole (WrestleMania 27)

For the top example on this list, it goes beyond just the contained match time. Lawler and Cole 'worked' a 14 minute match that really should have just been five minutes of overbooked silliness. That could have been fun, as opposed to Cole trying to work Lawler's leg for an eternity. Whoever thought Michael Cole having a 'legitimate' 14 minute match would be enjoyable has a rather twisted sense of humor.

The post-match took almost as long as the bout, with Lawler celebrating alongside guest referee Steve Austin, only for the Anonymous Raw GM to reverse the decision due to Austin's officiating, thus giving Cole the win. Then Austin beats up Booker T and Josh Mathews for reasons.

From the opening video to the final scene, this entire debacle lasted close to a half-hour. Hope Daniel Bryan got a nice check for working the pre-show.
