10 WWE WrestleMania Matches That Were Just Too Long

8. Triple H Vs. Randy Orton (WrestleMania 25)

When it comes to WrestleMania, Triple H's matches tend to veer toward the category of 'self-indulgently boring'. His mode of working has had a hard time following more memorable matches, whether he and Jericho couldn't match Hogan vs. Rock, or him and Lesnar failing to be anywhere near as fun as Undertaker vs. Punk. The WWE Championship match with Orton held promise, but ended up more of the same, taking place two matches after the iconic Undertaker-Shawn Michaels battle.

At nearly 24 minutes in length, HHH vs. Orton was a blood feud without a blood match. Even if bleeding was verboten by this point, the match still played out like a SmackDown main event at twice the length, instead of reaffirming the, "I'm gonna kill you," mood of the storyline.

Given where expectations were, this match was a critical failure.
