10 WWE Wrestlers Cursed At WrestleMania
2. CM Punk
All CM Punk wanted was to headline WrestleMania at least once. Following ‘The Summer of Punk,’ he felt he had proven himself worthy of the biggest main event spot in professional wrestling.
However, he was never able to fulfil his dream.
At WrestleMania 28, he felt he should have headlined since he defended the big belt against Chris Jericho. Instead, he was given the penultimate spot before The Rock and John Cena.
He again had to play second fiddle to the Hollywood part-timer a year later. To create ‘The Secon in a Lifetime’ match, WWE decided to have the championship on the line during Cena vs Rock II. What this meant was, after a 434-day reign, Punk had to drop the belt to The Rock beforehand.
He might have lost the title, but there was still a faded hope of going on last at WrestleMania 29. Although he felt like he was fed to ‘The Streak,’ Punk was told his bout against The Undertaker would be a main eventer.
Unfortunately, much like the year before, his match with ‘The Deadman’ went on second-to-last. Once more, Punk was tossed to the side for the brief appearances of a legend.
Sadly, this was how Punk’s ‘Mania experienced ended, as he quit WWE before WrestleMania 30. As he revealed later on, the plan was for him to face Triple H, which was the real icing on Punk's anger cake.
