10 WWE Wrestlers DOOMED Without Vince McMahon
1. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar vanishing from a post-Vince WWE is unlikely. 'The Beast' is front and centre for the company's Day 1 advertising and proved, at SummerSlam 2022, that he is still pro wrestling's biggest spectacle athlete when in the mood. There's value to having him around, particularly now that he has found new life as a babyface.
The days of Lesnar holding McMahon over a barrel in contract negotiations are likely over, however. For years, Brock has squeezed big-money deal after big-money deal out of the 76-year-old, who perceived him as a star beyond anyone on his full-time roster. And, for a while, he was right. Lesnar was on the short list of wrestlers capable of making a notable difference to ratings and other consumer-driven metrics.
This is no longer the case. At least not to the same degree, announcing Lesnar for a show doesn't guarantee it'll pop anymore, which will factor into Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Nick Khan's negotiations the next time Brock enters the room.
Lesnar reportedly proclaimed a variant of "if he's gone, I'm gone" upon learning of Vince's resignation. He returned to the arena after his pre-SmackDown walkout, though this response shows he understands that the future may not be so rosy and gold-lined under the new regime.
