10 WWE Wrestlers John Cena Shouldn't Have Beaten
5. Kevin Owens
Other than The Shield, there aren't many Superstars who have been booked as brilliantly from their debut to present day as Kevin Owens. Granted, he's been in WWE a mere six months, but it's been so far so great for the former Ring of Honor standout.
On the night of his NXT arrival in December 2014, he won his in-ring debut against CJ Parker before laying out newly crowned NXT champion Sami Zayn at the end of the show. It wasn't long after he obliterated Zayn to capture the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Rivals and since then, he's reigned supreme over the black-and-yellow brand as its champion.
Evidently, his hunger for power and success led him to making his main roster debut sooner than anyone expected on the May 18 edition of Raw by entering a program with John Cena. At Elimination Chamber, he accomplished the unthinkable when he beat Cena in clean fashion, though their rivalry was far from over.
Owens should have been the one rival that Cena couldn't beat, but much like every other feud he's been a part of, he evened the score with a win at Money in the Bank, marking Owens' first official loss in WWE. As epic of a match as they contested (and Owens managed to maintain his heat with his post-match attack), the outcome should have been different.
