10 WWE Wrestlers Most Likely To Be Released In 2016

9. Goldust

Goldust has been released by WCW, TNA and WWE probably more than anyone else, so what's one more time? Very few wrestlers have had a career that€™s as interesting as the one that Dustin Runnels has had. Unfortunately, at this stage in the game, he means next to nothing in the company. After returning from a shoulder injurty that saw him sit on the sidelines for seven months, he returned as a surprise entrant at Survivor Series, and then shortly later jobbed to Alberto Del Rio, in an unhyped match, in just a couple of minutes. When a wrestler returns, that€™s when the company gives them a little something to do for a few weeks or months. Goldust didn€™t get anything. He didn€™t even get any mic time to talk about why he€™s back. That€™s a pretty telling sign that management has no future plans for him. He may have a little something going with Tyler Breeze, but that's doubtful to last long. Goldust will probably stick around in some form, perhaps as a trainer, but as a wrestler, 2016 could very well be his last. It€™s a sad way for someone so talented to go out, but another starring role for The Bizarre One isn€™t looking very likely.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
