10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2020

5. Matt Riddle

See the Bianca Belair entry for near-identical thoughts re: championship-winning windows closing and exhausting top-level options.

Yes, Matt Riddle has already broken out... in NXT. He's one of the most popular names on a brand that can no longer contain him. With Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa nudging him out of the spotlight, it's time to go. The main roster is beckoning.

Though moving to Raw or SmackDown doesn't bring the same excitement it used to, we have faith in Riddle's ability to get over regardless. If this guy can't get over with his combat sports believability, infectious personality, and awesome, all-action style of wrestling, the concept of an "NXT call-up" may as well be done away with entirely. 'The Original Bro' is the real deal. He can absolutely break the cynicism that descends whenever a beloved NXT star hits main.

A Goldberg match feels like a natural entry point, provided Big Bill is willing to do business, though an impactful Royal Rumble debut would work wonders as well. Afterwards, the options are endless for a multi-talented performer with so many fresh main roster matches to tick off.
