10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2020

Let's start by addressing the obvious barrier to Toni Storm breaking out in 2019: things like this. That a performer who comes off so confident and assured in her ringwork looks the opposite with a microphone in front of her mouth is almost shocking, though this is something that the former NXT UK Women's Championship can definitely improve at just 24 years old.

The rest of her work is excellent. Boasting stage and screen presence far beyond her years and a proven ability to meld hard-hitting puro-style execution with fluid technicality, she has gotten over with every audience she has ever consistently performed for. This should be true of WWE's televised universe as well, given how natural she looked as part of NXT's invading force ahead of Survivor Series.

It's likely that WWE have only kept Storm tethered to NXT UK to wrap the Kay Lee Ray programme and lend the struggling brand some much-needed star power until others can be raised to her level. Whether or not that'll be possible remains to be seen, though she'd be an immediate hit on the US brand.
