10 WWE Wrestlers That Changed Everything
8. NXT's Four Horsewomen
There is a lot to be said about the role of women in the wrestling industry, particularly when it comes to World Wrestling Entertainment. While people love to look back on the days of the Attitude Era with fondness, you have to overlook the appalling treatment that the female performers were given. The Ruthless Aggression era was an improvement but still laid on the restricting and utterly demeaning circumstances shown in previous years.
Thus, the performers known as NXT's Four Horsewomen - that being Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Becky Lynch - truly changed the industry forever when they proved the importance of a legitimate female division.
During a time when the women of WWE were still fighting over a pink butterfly belt and performing in matches that lasted mere minutes, these trailblazers were kicking it up in the developmental brand and utterly proving that they had what it took to make women's wrestling special.
We wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for these four performers. Although many others certainly had an impact such as Lita, Trish Stratus, Beth Phoenix and Mickie James, (and a name we will get to soon) these four indeed were the revolution the company sorely needed.
