10 WWE Wrestlers That Changed Everything

9. Hulk Hogan

The Undertaker
WWE

Hulk Hogan was in the right place at the right time and was able to revolutionise the wrestling industry. After Vince McMahon began to destroy the territory system, he needed a star to legitimise his company as the monopoly in the business, and he found that in the form of Hulk Hogan.

Terry Eugene Boella was a star who had made a name for himself in the early WWF, AWA and NJPW. Once Vince's new World Wrestling Federation got his hands on him they created a top babyface star who would go on to change the industry by absolutely pulling it into the mainstream.

Hogan created a hero that everyone could get behind and fully generated the classic babyface role that became an integral part of the business. He truly was the icon of WWF's Golden era, and for that, he completely changed the way that the company would run forever afterwards.

The influences of his stardom can still be found in the modern wrestling landscape, and that goes to show just how big a star he was.
