10 WWE Wrestlers The Internet Loves (But Vince McMahon Hates)

2. Ricochet

Ricochet had a good first few months on the main roster. He had a WrestleMania main card match within a night of his final TakeOver appearance, appeared in the Money in the Bank ladder match a month later, before winning the United States Championship from Samoa Joe at the Stomping Grounds PPV in June.

Unfortunately for Ricochet, he lost the US belt to AJ Styles on the next PPV Extreme Rules, before losing his rematch at SummerSlam. After those losses, Ricochet gradually fell away from the spotlight, barely appearing on weekly television before his shot at redemption; a WWE title opportunity against Brock Lesnar in Saudi Arabia.

He was never going to win, but it could have legitimised him as a star for the company. He has a devoted fanbase and can immediately impress newcomers with his astounding flexibility and gymnastic achievements. This match should have cemented his place but unfortunately, he lost in 94 seconds and got zero offence whatsoever.

This cemented Ricochet's standing in the company, someone who can impress the fans but is ultimately a tool to get bigger men over. It's a shame that someone with his talents isn't seen as anything but a midcarder by his boss.
