Surprised to see this guy?

Don't be. Without WWE's summer overhaul, the single best story in all of pro wrestling right now probably wouldn't be taking all the twists and turns it is. There's a touch of happenstance about Sami Zayn infiltrating the ranks of The Bloodline, becoming an "Honorary Uce" and pleasing everyone from Roman Reigns to Jey Uso, but creative still had to let the workers fly free.

Sami's brilliant mind for this stuff has come to the fore since July, and that's no coincidence. Hunter's WWE is content to kick back, relax and know someone like Zayn understands this tale better than anyone else could. So, in other words, they're dropping in major settings (WarGames), then letting the wrestler book his own path and experiment.

Is it too far to say Triple H saved Sami? Maybe. He was smashing doors down before McMahon's retirement, but the old guard may have tampered with the story by trying to put Vince's stamp on things rather than just watching Zayn/The Usos/Roman work some magic.
