10 WWE Wrestlers Triple H SAVED In 2022

3. Butch

See above for the only thing WWE had in mind for Pete Dunne on Raw or SmackDown. The re-dubbed Butch was "scrappy", "fearless" and "liked to fight". All of those were things Michael Cole said about the man (in that 'I'm reading from a sheet of paper' fashion such buzzwords are typically delivered with).

Triple H kept the Butch name around, but he's allowed this Brawling Brute to tweak his act and revert back to some of the characteristics that made Dunne so popular in NXT. The silly little cap is gone, and so is the petted lip - Butch doesn't have childlike temper tantrums anymore, and he's become an equal to both Sheamus and Ridge Holland in the group.

He's vastly superior as a character.

Now, thanks chiefly to the freedom he's enjoying, Butch is an important part of his faction and able to showcase his in-ring skills to a whole new audience. That's preferable to stomping around the place like some overly-aggressive eight year old who just got grounded.
