10 WWE Wrestlers We Want To See In RETRIBUTION
8. Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley should have left NXT by now. The absence of the traditional call up system since NXT’s pivot to USA Network has left former champions lost in the shuffle after losing their titles, with NXT’s writing not being accommodated to handling wrestlers whose arcs have concluded on the show.
Ripley is a trademark example, someone who should have left the show as soon as she dropped the belt to Charlotte at WrestleMania and establish herself on Raw or Smackdown. She excelled in the triple threat at In Your House, but it’s hard to deny that a singles match between Io and Charlotte would have been a better decision. Since taking the fall there, she hasn’t done much, feuding with the Robert Stone Brand and taking pinfall losses to Dakota Kai. She’s a big star in the making and should be in an angle that pushes her forward.
Rhea is a better heel than she is a babyface, and working with RETRIBUTION could help tie together her improvements in ring with her skills on the mic as an antagonist to make the most complete version of her character. Watching her wreck things on the main roster would be a lot of fun, and could lead to a future world title reign on either Raw or Smackdown.
