10 WWE Wrestlers We Want To See In RETRIBUTION
7. Fandango
Fandango might seem like an odd choice at first glance, but if you’ve been watching NXT in recent weeks, it’s a character moment that would make a surprising amount of success. The former Johnny Curtis has never really reached his potential in WWE, with his main roster run peaking with a WrestleMania victory over Chris Jericho, before transitioning into a lot of appearances on C-shows.
He’s a talented wrestler, more skilled in between the ropes than he gets credit for, and his tag team with Tyler Breeze was criminally underrated by WWE creative during the Fashion Files era. His recent interactions with Santos Escobar on NXT, showing him getting beaten two weeks in a row and his arm put into a sling harm could easily make him snap.
If the feud culminates with Fandango taking another humiliating punishment from Escobar, it would make sense for him to lose his temper, distancing himself from the old version of Fandango and becoming reborn as someone who doesn’t get beaten, who is the destroyer instead of the destroyed. He’s a good actor, and could make for a sympathetic presence as the group continues, especially if RETRIBUTION involves themselves with NXT and Tyler Breeze.
Fandango deserves a chance as more than just a dancing lower midcarder, and this would be a great opportunity to help him stand out in this new era.
