Let's all admit: no matter who you put Baron Corbin with, it will be boring. He just doesn't have a compelling enough character or style in the ring to produce good matches or feuds. WWE gifted him the King of the Ring gimmick and it still added almost nothing aside from the crown and a cape. We saw him feud with Roman Reigns for almost half a year which was overkill itself. Lately he transitioned into a new feud with the target being Matt Riddle.

Even before Riddle was drafted to SmackDown, Corbin was the man to eliminate in the Royal Rumble. Riddle's last feud in NXT was against Timothy Thatcher and it was short, fun and extremely brutal. They didn’t have to wrestle and feud for months to get over the fact that they did not like each other. Riddle is really good but pairing him with Corbin ever again is a big no.
