10 WWE Wrestlers Who Are Having A Very, Very Bad 2021

9. Elias

Elias matches Baron Corbin for number of losses in 2021, but there is one startling difference between the WrestleMania 36 opponents; Elias only has two victories. Can't remember those wins? That's understandable because the wins were tag team victories on Main Event, a show watched by approximately 24 people. For the record, Elias teamed with Jaxson Ryker to defeat the teams of Akira Tozawa & Humberto Carillo and Jeff Hardy & Ricochet.

Despite being one of the few former NXT stars to excel on the main roster, it would seem that The Drifter has reached his ceiling in WWE. There's nothing wrong with being an opening show talent whose sole purpose is to annoy crowds with his songs, although there is definitely something wrong if you're teaming with Gunner. Elias likely has a job for life, but the emphasis there should absolutely be on the word 'job'.

It's a far cry from nuclear heat with Kevin Owens in Seattle, being dropped by 'Doctor of Thuganomics' John Cena at WrestleMania or singing at Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble. Actually, no, it isn't far from the latter, because that is his role moving forward. Will Elias win a singles match in 2021? Don't bet on it.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
