8. Drake Maverick
Drake Maverick has a wonderful tale to tell, so long as you stop it at a certain point. The former Rockstar Spud has been through so much in the company, especially within this last year. But, sadly, it seems his best days are behind him.
His time with WWE has been truly up and down as he had a great showing as GM for 205 Live but suffered from some awfully embarrassing angles, with the most infamous being the time Big Show caused him to wet his pants. No one could ever be taken seriously after something like that.
Despite this and his time in the 24/7 Title scene, Maverick eventually became a fan-favourite, as his release due to Covid budget cuts (while still being involved in the interim NXT Cruiserweight Title Tournament) turned him into a red hot babyface. This sudden burst in popularity even led to him being reinstated with the company. That has essentially dissipated now, as he has returned to being an underutilised talent.
Simply put, WWE has let him down too many times and placed him in too many embarrassing scenarios to give him a taste of true glory in the company. He may be a comedy wrestler at heart, but WWE has taken the joke too far.
