10 WWE Wrestlers Who Are Too Broken To EVER Be Fixed
6. Akira Tozawa
Akira Tozawa was never going to be a shining star in the land of WWE. The language barrier meant his promos were always short, his small stature caused him to be stuck in the cruiserweight division, and he didn't have a huge amount of star power. But he did offer some intense in-ring energy and an awesome look that made him fearsome and engaging. Naturally, WWE squandered that completely.
This list has already briefly mentioned the Backlash match between Street Profits and Viking Raiders, but it was more than those teams involved as the pre-filmed sequence also acted as the debut of a new look in Tozawa. Gone were the days of catchy colours and kickpads, and instead came a ninja outfit.
Seeing this stern and serious performer given such a stereotyped gimmick was harrowing, and it was only made worse by his insertion into comedy angles. Nowadays, it's hard to look at this performer and remember him as an effervescent star from Dragongate, as he's more akin to a cartoon character than a serious wrestler.
