10 WWE Wrestlers Who Break The Corporate Mould
5. Daniel Bryan
It feels like only yesterday that Bryan climbed to the business's heights and claimed the joint World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. Despite having been with the company for over a decade now, Bryan still feels totally out of place in the loud and massive land of WWE, but this is why fans still love him so much.
The former Ring of Honor star was one of the first examples of the World Wrestling Entertainment's changing trends. WWE was still the land of the giants in the late 2000s, and the thought of seeing an independent star become a significant player was unthinkable. However, performers like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan began to make their name in the company, and succeeded in reaching the top, thanks to their massive fan support.
Even to this day, Daniel Bryan does not look like a WWE corporate superstar. He is short, often has overgrown and messy hair, and dresses without a tremendous sense of flair. Yet he's still a major presence on the roster, which is a sign of how WWE has evolved since its early days.
