10 WWE Wrestlers Who Came Back From The Cold

7. Goldberg

Goldberg spent more than a decade in the Vince McMahon dog house after an acrimonious split in 2004, shortly after which he began talking down his WWE experience during interviews (his main complaint being that the sex-crazed product wasn't PG enough for his tastes).

There was little indication during this time that the WCW legend was actually interested in coming back, to be fair. If he was, you can bet your bottom dollar that the company would have rolled out the red carpet for him, particularly with Brock Lesnar spurning most of their advances.

Incidentally, it was the chance to revisit his rivalry with the 'Beast Incarnate' that ultimately enticed him out of retirement. After a short run as Universal Champion, it seems years of bitterness have now been set completely to one side, with Goldberg even leaving the door open for a potential return some day down the road.
