10 WWE Wrestlers Who Grabbed The Brass Ring In 2019
7. Shayna Baszler
When you're over 400 days into your second reign as NXT Women's champion, it's fair to say you've probably got at least one hand on the elusive WWE brass ring.
Baszler's talent has been there for all to see on NXT for the previous couple of years, during which she has defended her title against all comers including Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, Mia Yim, and of course a thrilling series with Kairi Sane which included Baszler dropping the belt before regaining it in spectacular fashion.
'The Queen of Spades' has been one of the standout performers since NXT moved to the USA Network and it speaks volumes as to how prominently she has featured on the show, with matches, promos, and another title defence scheduled for the final NXT episode of the year.
No doubt a move to either Raw or SmackDown will be on the cards next year following her NXT showcase, with some even proposing a 2020 Royal Rumble win to catapult her onto the main roster.
All the signs look good for Baszler, who looked impressive leading the invasion ahead of Survivor Series and emerged victorious from the PPV main event, defeating Becky Lynch & Bayley to win brand warfare for NXT.
