10 WWE Wrestlers Who Grabbed The Brass Ring In 2019
3. Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley burst onto our screens in NXT in August of this year, interrupting NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler before snatching the mic out of her hand and declaring, "You've beaten everyone here, but you haven't beaten me, b*tch."
Prior to this, Ripley had spent time in NXT UK as their inaugural women's champion, but since the pithy pipebomb she catapulted herself into the main event scene on the black and gold brand.
One indication that you have been identified by the powers that be as someone for the future is getting a win over a current major star, so the fact that over the space of three days Rhea Ripley pinned Charlotte Flair, Shayna Baszler, and Sasha Banks tells you all you need to know about her prospects in WWE.
She may well end the year as NXT Women's Champion, ending Baszler's immense reign on the final NXT of the year, and considering her performances during the NXT invasion of the main roster, at WarGames, and at Survivor Series, it's completely deserved for one of the breakout stars of 2019.
