6. Goldberg
Goldberg is often heralded as one the few high profile successes from The Power Plant, WCW’s in house training facility.
However, it’s hard to imagine the trainer that points to big Bill with pride saying, “see the big guy with the two moves? I taught him everything he knows.”
Let’s not get it twisted. Goldberg is a massive star and there’s a reason why WWE has allowed to him keep coming back seemingly on his own terms in recent years. Still, while he looks a million dollars, his work between the ropes is best described as “limited.”
Occasional attempts by the likes of William Regal or Triple H to draw more out of “Da Man” have been disastrous. That’s ok though, no one ever needed any more from him.
Goldberg never evolved because Goldberg didn’t have to. Stride along a corridor to the ring. Deliver a spear and a jackhammer. Get the win. Huge pop. Rinse. Repeat.
