10 WWE Wrestlers Who Should Ask For Their Release
4. Hideo Itami
It's injury that is in part culpable for Hideo Itami's thus-far disappointing WWE run - but that's only half the story. He's been in NXT for three years now without much of a sniff at the main roster.
Apart from a short but sweet feud with Bobby Roode earlier this year, he really doesn't have a great deal to show for it either. And, now that he's turned heel - a role to which he isn't exactly suited - you can't see that changing in the near future.
Given all of the incredible wrestling that has been and still is taking place in Japan during this time, a part of Itami must be growing nostalgic for his incredible decade-plus-long stint in NOAH prior to signing for Vince McMahon in 2014.
Fans would love to see him back there - or perhaps even on the independent circuit in the US - because his talent is surely deserving of more than jobbing down in NXT, especially now that he is well past the age at which he can be considered a rookie.
