This one might seem a little out of left field, as it was only up until recently that Ripley was the Raw Women's Champion (and currently reigns as one half of the Women's Tag Team Champions). Still, the shortness of that singles reign and sudden push away from the title picture could be an example of things to come.
It's easy to see how Ripley will have a decent future with WWE. However, right now, she has a substantial amount of star power, and a leap to the competition would be enough to propel her right into the title picture, a la Ruby Soho. Sticking with WWE would be fine for her, but moving to AEW could push her right to the top of a division she can dominate for years to come.
There have been so many times where fans have seen a promising wrestler watered down and squandered on WWE programming, leading them to think, if only they'd gotten out sooner. Ripley could end up being one of those stars, so getting ahead of the curve would be a bright idea.
