10 WWE Wrestlers Who Stole Their Finishers

3. The Van Terminator

Van Dam might have borrowed the frog splash from Eddie Guerrero (the two had a very fun feud over the move in 2002) but you certainly can't accuse him of not coming up with his own inventions. In ECW, RVD made it his mission to come up with as many outrageous and athletic moves as he could, moves that would often involve the use of a steel chair. Not a month went by that 'Mr. Monday Night' wasn't debuting something new in the squared circle. There was the Van Daminator, the Rolling Thunder and the chair skateboard move but the coup de grâce was the Van Terminator, a spectacular, teeth-shattering move that Van Dam only busted out on the most special of occasions. Van Dam would springboard the entire length of the ring and dropkick a chair into his opponents face with extreme force. Many fans were surprised when Shane McMahon pulled out his own version of the Van Terminator (renamed the Coast to Coast) at WrestleMania X-7 in his undoubtedly entertaining street fight against father Vince. For those who had never seen Van Dam, they must have thought that Shane came up with the move himself but that obviously wasn't the case. Van Dam would have to wait until 2002, a year after joining the company, to use the move himself on television. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QLuutF0xG8
