10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were As Frustrated As The Fans

3. The Miz

A promo so fantastic that some were still referencing it when The Miz briefly became WWE Champion for the second time in 2021, 'The A-Lister's 2016 rant on Daniel Bryan made Talking Smack the place to be for every WWE Superstar trying to find their voice again in the micromanaged ultra-scripted modern era.

As he recently revealed during an interview with Renee Paquette, Miz was genuinely annoyed having been left off the SmackDown card that night, and found it particularly jarring when Daniel Bryan chose this specific night to target both his work rate and overall ability.

As great as it was to potentially tee-up a reimagining of their programme (and what a f*ck up that was...) this was so far removed from Bryan's 2018 return that it exclusively served as an act of deep-rooted biliousness from a performer who so often takes those specific criticism on the chin.

Daniel Bryan hadn't forgot to include Miz in the SmackDown line-up for the night, but he'd inadvertently tapped in to why it might have happened, and was an on-screen authority figure for the Intercontinental Champion to berate in the moment.
