Drew McIntyre was Vince McMahon’s chosen one. A good look, and a Scottish background, which the boss has a soft spot for. After Vince personally hyped Drew’s debut on SmackDown, he let the man spread his wings, and then let him crash, and then booked him poorly the rest of his run.

Drew was probably a bit young for the huge push received on his debut, but he sure didn’t deserve to end up in 3MB at the end of his time in the company. Once TNA got their hands on him, the man showed that he was vastly underutilized in WWE. He briefly lead The Rising stable, then broke off on his own, and later captured their World Heavyweight Title.

Right now he’s currently cutting some of the best babyface promos in the business, and delivering great matches almost every time out. He certainly showed that he’s better suited for being a champ than playing air guitar.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
